The Golden Compass

I would like to go to cinema, but I believe the enjoy will not be a chived if I went alone! So only my wife can joine me in this outgoing, therefore I transfer Mr. Tony recommended for “The Golden Compass “ she was very happy because we will go to the move and we will break the routine , I understand that I trapped myself ! Because she like comedy, r
omance and social types, therefore I vested The Golden Compass website; I found it is an action- adventure built on very rich fantasy base, and it is same group of Potter and trilogy of the rings in fantasia.
I agree fantasy gives very loam environment to the writer to configrate his characters to pass his idea, moreover he is free to select any period or part of the universe as theater for the events.therfore this type of move shouldbe understood according to this point of viwe neglecating the a mount of the magice power and the fortuities fighting the villains and the murky world.

In short sentence I can say it is part of semi philosophy story. Isn’t it Mr. Tony?

Hello Ahmed

I'm glad to hear from you - the rest of the group are a 'dead loss'.

That particular film was not easy to follow - "The Golden Compass" has been very successful in Britain and America. Were you able to enter this fantasy world and identify with the characters? Again I stress that having read the book and its two subsequent parts "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass" was a great help for me.

The story was a parable about good and evil. It also featured the loss of innocence and the way religion can be used by the wrong people to control society. Its message was much deeper than the simplistic Harry Potter saga. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is in a class of its own - beyond comparison.

Come on bloggers, use this medium to discuss ideas and keep in touch. As I always said, there is so much more to life than IELTS, IELTS and so on...

Any news? Good, bad or sad?

Ah well, Ahmed, it looks like just you and me who value the blog. What about Nashat Akram signing for Manchester City? He is a terrific player!

Bye for now

Tony
